Web1.4 This Code replaces the previous Covert Human Intelligence Sources Code of Practice (dated August 2024). This version of the Code reflects changes to the authorisation of CHIS made by the CHIS (Criminal Conduct) Act 2024. 1.5 This Code is primarily intended for use by the public authorities able to authorise activity under the 2000 Act.
