WebAug 20, 2024 · The only downside to our hike to Granite Park Chalet was that the Highline Trail was closed and we had to hike up the Loop Trail. It's over 2,400 ft. elevation gain in 4.5 miles versus 800 ft. in 7.5 on the Highline. Our stay at the Chalet was chilly and stormy, but we loved it. The staff was amazing and we met the nicest people.
